Home

Hello, flist! It's good to be home. It's very pleasant and chilly and holidaylike, which is a pleasant change from the FREEZING COLD. I took the train on my way back, and it was only seven hours late (that makes it a 22 hour trip. the fog, apparently.), but I managed, thanks to the combination of books, music, Very Cute Guy, Very Cute Baby and looking out of the window (it was a good thing the train was travelling through some of my favourite parts of the country). It is very unlikely that the vacation will be anywhere near relaxing - I just made a list of Things I'm Supposed to Do, and it goes like this:

- meet up with friends. a number of them.
- meet up with extended family. ditto.
- spend time with family.
- catch up on BSG S1 and House S4.
- finish some fannish things I'm supposed to finish
- appear for an irritating public examination type thing
- study. at least a little bit. for the said examination.
- take Important Decisions on Life, the Universe, and everything.

But. It's good to be back. How are you?

I did. Because I have no intention on cutting down on porn-related squeeage, and this made sense. Er, are we supposed to mark individual pages as explicitly adult if they contain something like NC-17 fic? This is confusing.

We think the new adult content flags are stupid and are ignoring them, if we = me. *g*

The one thing you should know is that the "WARNING ADULT CONTENT HERE" cut replaces any cut-tags you have in your post, so if your cut tags contain information about things like spoilers or fic ratings, anyone seeing the adult content filter won't see that information. If that makes any sense. You can always count on LJ to confuse something up.

Hmm. I followed some of the links you posted and metafandom and thought it was the best course of action. But this is all extraordinarily confusing. Maybe I will go and set it back, because a moment ago I was not logged in and it asked *me* if I was above 14. *shakes fist at stoopid LJ*

I'm going to say ditto to what [livejournal.com profile] nestra said: if you use headers above your cut tags to give information/spoiler warnings, etc., all of that gets obliterated by the LJ-imposed cut tag. LJ says that they realize that this is a problem, but they have no solution for it.
