I did not know writing women in fandom was so hard.

But then, what do I know? Damn feminists.

Hee, too bad (though entirely predictable) that it's flocked now. When I read it last night there were only happy OMG U R SO SMRT! comments. I imagine that didn't last.

Apparently it was cited on metfandom which irked the OP! But it's still up on fandom_discuss!

It's locked! Now you have to tell me what was going on so I can be righteously annoyed. *g*

Somebody posted the text of the OP in fandom_discuss--it came up on my flist yesterday--though I'm not sure it is still there! I'll check and link if possible!

Yup, still there: http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_discuss/56946.html

Argh. These arguments never change, do they? *Headdesk*

Now I'm all curious.

It was posted with OP's permission on fandom_discuss earlier (apparently she did not want it on metafandom--there's a bit of snark about metafandom in the OP). Here's the link!

It's still up on fandom_discuss apparently. The internets are slow today and JF is refusing to open, but the post was all about how writing men in fandom is about the snark, banter and hotness whereas writing women leads to all kinds of oppressive insanity.
