I cooked!

Well, okay, I boiled chicken in a pressure cooker. And then I made soup. And called my mother fifteen times asking for directions.

But! I cooked! Greatness, here I come!

Woohoo! I call my dad at least 5 times for any recipe he gives me. Also I have never made chicken in my life, nor anything in a pressure cooker. Go you!

Horray! And HEE! I think I would need to do that, too. Only it'd be my dad - my mother tends to make her pastries explode. ^^

Well, I always knew I was destined for cooking greatness. It's in my genes. It's just the... actually doing the cooking part that's been the problem so far.

Ah, but did you make your own stock, from vegetables lovingly roasted then simmered and strained? Or did you chicken out - so to speak - and use store broth, or worse, bouillon cubes? Checks entry. Oh.

I did have some trouble with opening and closing the lid, but I appear to have mastered the pressure cooker. *g*

Congratulations. As someone who would happily eat chicken three or four times a week, I'm glad to learn that you're off and running on the feed yourself program.

If you can cook a chicken in a pressure cooker (or roast it, which is what I often do) you can do all kinds of things with cold chicken. Just saying.

What kind of soup? Heh, I do the same thing, only with my father. "Hi, it's me again. I wanted to know: what was it I was supposed to have started 20 minutes ago that I didn't? ... Mhmm. Well, will it ruin the dish? ... Oops."
