There's something very reassuring about the fact that no matter who happens to be writing Birds of Prey, Black Canary and Oracle will always be married (and Huntress will always be a giant woobie). Observe:
Chuck Dixon:

"You alone, Oracle?"

That's how we all greet our BFFs when we meet them face-to-face for the very first time.
Gilbert Hernandes:

"She's just a friend friend." No, really.

"You make it sound like we're an item. Maybe we better get going before somebody else thinks the same thing."
Gail Simone:

Babs is a bit emotionally stunted, unfortunately.

But even she recognizes that they are more than partners.

Context: Dinah is getting married. Barbara is trying to talk her out of it.
Tony Bedard:

Gail Simone (again):

Context: A fight to death, odds are against Dinah. Ollie = Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, former husband.
See?
Also, they like to threaten other people who try to hurt their BBs:

And sometimes they just like playing games:

Like I said, very reassuring. (This post has a sad lack of Huntress, but she deserves a separate introduction.)
