I have a new laptop. It's shiny.

I am, however, determined *not* to have a net connection in my room when I return (on the 7th). I know myself - if I do take a connection, that will be the end of my academic career. Besides, why pay when you have it for free? There is something very exciting about reading porn in the university computers.

Meanwhile, my mother is back from her trip to London. She has brought a lot of chocolates along with her. So right now I'm shamelessly eating more chocolates than any sane person should be allowed to eat and listening to delightfully obscene (and thankfully, untranslatable) songs (and also attempting to write some Desperate Housewives slash, but we shall not talk about that).

Life, she is good.

But what's with the no net-connection thing? You should know that fangirl time is like magic pudding -- it exists in a space all of its own without impinging on anything else. ;)

No no, you mustn't tempt me. Swatkat+laptop+unlimited net connection+a place with no regulations = KABOOM. In short, a very bad combination - not something I can afford to do. The university computers will have to do.

I have yet to succumb to the world of laptops -- it would mean I should always be working. And while that is the assumption for both students and freelance writers, I like to avoid it when I can.

But if I had to go out of the house for a net connection, I would never log on. Late night at home, after the denizens are out of my hair, is the best time to jump into the electronic world for me.

It is! Think of the amount of ass they could kick together! And the hotness! I am told LE and FH had excellent chemistry in Sports Night, but I've never seen the show, and they're hotter now anyway.
