It was an AU where he was an operative and he did not die. Then there was a planecrash in the middle of the desert and he and Birkoff were the only survivors. If I had finished it, it would have probably ended up as Birkoff&Fanning because Birkoff!sex squicks me, and because Fanning would refuse to have sex with him, even at the end of the world.

Sometimes, my own brain scares me. Tell me a pairing and I can probably think of a way (cracktastic or no) to get them together. *facepalm*

I'm reading Wicked for the third time now: they came out with a Spanish translation, and I thought it would be good practice for my language skills (not to mention fun). But this means I'm going through it *very slowly*: I read one page per day (first all the way through aloud to see how much I understand right away, then translating into English, then checking my translation versus the original English version, then aloud in Spanish again), so I find I'm really paying attention to things in a way I didn't before.
