+ LJ Advisory Board Nominations are on. Please spare some time and vote. I realise that this is just an advisory board, but it's nice to have fannish representation nonetheless. My first preference was legomymalfoy, because she's One of Us and has been an active HP slasher for years now, not to mention a LJ volunteer. icarusancalion has a detailed and informative post about the candidates in question here which you might also want to take a look at before you vote.

I *did not* vote for jameth, who comes across as nothing but an anti-fannish asshat. (scroll down for some lovely comments re. fandom)

Delete the bit about anti-fannish. jameth is a general all-round asshat, even to not-really-fandomers-anymore like me. I voted for the fannish recommendations simply because it was fandom what brought me to lj, and it seems churlish not to remember that.

Oh yeah, I read the post about his infamous epilepsy-triggering blinking icons. I feel the need to highlight his anti-fannishness, though, because I'm afraid his 'I am gay and I support gay people' might be mistaken as slash friendly by fans. Which is not giving enough credit to the flist, I know, but just in case!

Fandom is doing very well so far, because legomymalfoy has a huge lead. This needs to be a lot more, though, because the winner has to get 50% of the votes.
