I'm not sure *why* exactly they're shutting down, but I'm assuming it's because fandom didn't turn out to be the goldmine they'd obviously thought it would be. And it's a matter for celebration, because these people were trying to make money off us and we resisted, and now they're out of business. Moral: don't mess with fandom. *g*
