At zorana84's insistence, I have been watching Firefly, and it's shiny! I'm up to 'Our Mrs. Reynolds' at this moment, and I can't believe how much I love ALL the characters of this show. Seriously, there should be some kind of a rule against this degree of awesome.

I cannot believe Joss went back to Fox again.

That's because EVERYBODY pales before Roslin and Adama. They're EPIC and IN SPACE and AWESOME. Sometimes I think the show had just one good romance in it (I know other shippers will disagree; well okay, Saul/Ellen), and Roslin/Adama is it (except, of course, Adama/Tigh, which is the EPIC BROMANCE of the show).

Dude, it is the one good romance in any of my fandoms. All the others are normal normal: people still struggling to grow up and reconcile themselves to themselves and each other despite the fact that they're in their mid-thirties. Which is moving and all (I won't deny I love me some Lee/Kara and some Athena/Helo, and Saul/Ellen has its charms), but Roslin & Adama. They get me, because they know what they want, and they're so responsible about it.

Yay for the EPIC BROMANCE too. Oh, boys.

I'd be nitpicky and say there has been growth and figuring things out for Roslin and Adama as well, especially in the fourth season (I once wrote a loong post about it). But it's all speeded up and EPIC and IN SPACE!

What really gets me, though, is the responsibility. It's a kink. I cannot resist responsible characters.

Oh, well, definitely. And they, like every other pairing I love, have that whole staunch individuality can't-lean-on-anyone thing going, but at the same time, they're such good friends. Like Mulder and Scully, if they could grow up and be more comfortable with being friends and being romantical. Fourth season is fantastic for that. But at the same time they don't cut each other off as much while they're figuring things out, because they're precious to each other.

Responsibilityyyyyyyyy. Mmmm.

Also, he says that the people he's dealing with at Fox for Dollhouse are different people than those he dealt with for Firefly. He swears up and down this time it'll be different. I say, I'll believe it when I see it.
