Hmmmmmmmmmm. It's early and I didn't sleep well, so I'm guessing I'm going to miss several of my top moments.
1. Galactica crashing into the atmosphere of New Caprica.
2. The mind-frakking 1-year leap into the future and the arrival of the Cylons on New Caprica. "What do we do now, Captain?" "Fight 'em until we can't."
3. Boomer shooting Adama. The absolute mind-blowing SHOCK the first time I saw that, because it was SO unexpected.
4. Tigh killing Ellen. I'm NOT a Tigh fangirl, but that scene? Broke my heart.
5. Adama telling Laura that is was OK for her to go, that he wouldn't be selfish anymore, and putting the ring on her finger. I sat there with tears running down my face.
6. Unfinished Business. What? So I'm an unrepentant pilot fangirl
7. The entire miniseries.
8. 33
9. Helo killing Athena. The spray of blood on the wall (the realism of this show! OMG the realism!), his agony, Laura's understanding and yet distrust of the Cylon Athena.
10. Lee's defense of Gaius - that scene shows Lee in a nutshell, and gave Jamie such fantastic material to work with. And that Adama actually voted not guilty. That glimpse into Adama's mind - that as much as he detests Gaius and how he (Adama) has to deal on a day-to-day basis with the results of what Gaius did, he *still* has the openness of mind to actually listen to Lee, what Lee says, and acknowlege the realities and the truth of Lee's argument.
11. On a pure Pilots-shipping level, I love the end of Colonial Day - he looks like he's been hit with a 2x4 when he first sees her in that dress - and the next few scenes after - Kara thinking she's with Lee (I think that's sexier than the sex scene in Unfinished Business, frankly) and their come-to-blows confrontation after, when he realizes she's been with Gaius.
12. That last scene from Resolutions (did I remember the episode name right?). Earth, devestated. The characters, all devestated.
