A lot of you are getting all bothered about HP spoilers. You should be.
lyras here has some excellent tips for everyone who wishes to be spoiler free/ There will be no HP spoilers in this journal, I assure you. In fact, there will be no squeeing or crossing off of days, either. There might be occasional sobbing and moaning, though. Like now. You see, HP 7 comes out on the 21st of July; I leave on the 16th. I have my train ticket here, with our names on it. I bought it myself, after one and a half hours in the queue instead of buying it online, so that we could get the seats where we wanted. My copy of Deathly Hallows is already ordered and paid for - here. At home. My sister will be mailing it to me, after a couple of days, maybe more - as soon as she's done, that's for sure. People seem to think I'm slightly crazy, because I *will* get to read the book, won't I? What does it matter if it's a couple of days later? Right? Right??? Except that it's not just about reading the book. It's about waiting for it to be the 21st. It's about getting up in the morning and rushing to the bookstore; sharing a little private smile with a kid on the lift on my way back. It's about clutching to myself, scarcely believing I have it, that this is it, this is the last Harry Potter book ever. It's about reading in a breathless pace and rushing to LJ to SQUEE and OMG and metametameta like crazy, about obsessively visiting fandom_wank every half and hour and refreshing the flist every five minute because I want to hear what everyone has to say. It's about that, and I'll miss it, and I think I'm allowed to whine and moan just a little.
*takes deep breath*
I feel a lot better now.
