swatkatI'm back a day earlier than expected, so of course I had to watch Merlin first. House will come up next, and HIMYM after that because House may or may not be freaking depressing, who knows.

Dear show, I feel the need to point this out to you:
See her? This is Morgana. She has a sword. And also a knife. And is generally awesome, WHICH IS WHY NOT A SINGLE LINE OF DIALOGUE IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE, DO YOU UNDERSTAND? NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Yes, yes, the promo for next week was wonderful and made me wish for a time-machine, but really, not a single line of dialogue? Not even one to explain why Gwen was not with Morgana in the castle?
And while the promo was indeed wonderful, I'm not sure which direction this is heading: does this mean that when we get a Morgana episode, we can't have Gwen? Is it so difficult, fitting all four of them together? More importantly, while half of Merlin/Arthur fandom is weeping about the show breaking Merlin and Arthur up (which I'm not worried about, because Arthur is Merlin's destiny and they're two halves of the same coin), I'm worried that we will see less and less of Gwen and Morgana together and then they're friendship will just disappear, like female friendships tend to do on television. I cannot be having with that.
That said, aww, this episode. It was adorable how Arthur spent so much time being an arrogant pig and did not learn much of a lesson except 'you have to be nice to girls you like' when what Gwen was really trying to tell him was 'you have to treat people like people'. This is not to say he is not a decent person - he is decent and honourable and just, but he falters when it comes to actually dealing with, you know, real people.
I am NOT happy that Gwen's character development = being Arthur's moral compass, but GWEN HAD LINES! Which were awesome! Her rant, especially, was wonderful, as was her being bewildered and annoyed by prat!Arthur and yet drawn to that very flashy Gryffindor side of his character.
I also loved Merlin's rant - it's good to see that the show is acknowledging the pressure he has been under.
Etc.
+ Myror was awesome, but yet another Evil Black Dude. Really, show? *sigh*
+ The kiss was sweet, but what was really adorable was Gwen asking Arthur to wear a token for luck.
+ Sir William!
+ Love Uther's new clothes, as well as the faces Tony Head was making all throughout the jousting.
+ Could they please DO AWAY with the overwrought background scores during the action scenes?
+ Morgana looked really gorgeous.
CAN WE PLEASE HAVE THE NEXT EPISODE NOW?
