'You don't have to remind me whose side I'm on.'
Narrative foreshadowing of possible dilemma? I hope so. I want even more moral ambiguity, ever greater drama.
That's certainly a very interesting frame there with respect to Altlivia: through the looking glass, and what Olivia found there.
2)
'This is my operation. You work for me.'
Altlivia asserts herself. Altlivia is a soldier, Altlivia believes in chain of command. Olivia on the other hand doesn't have to assert herself to assume leadership, she just is.
3) Incredulous!Broyles is incredulous. Walter's little speech, meanwhile, is totally his way of expressing his immense guilt over the destruction he has wrought in the altverse.
4) Altlivia continues to be fascinated by Walter, who, in her eyes, must be the absolute anti-thesis of the Secretary. Did I mention I want more drama?
5) I don't know what it says of Peter that he can't tell it's not his Olivia. Altlivia is so clearly not Olivia. She's more open, she's less haunted, the way she approaches cases is different, letting Peter and Broyles take charge while she hangs back… Olivia, I suppose, is so incredibly solid and dependable that it doesn't occur to any of them that she might have come back wrong. ♥
'I guess being over there, meeting another Olivia Dunham's made me think about the way I look at the world. The choices I've made.'
Probably spoken in faux-earnestness by Altlivia, but I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be another instance of narrative foreshadowing.
You know what would be really interesting? If Peter and Altlivia actually end up falling for each other.Lincoln/Scarlie can comfort Ourlivia.
6) Walter/Nina/William Bell. I CAN HAZ MOAR BACKSTORY NAO?
7) Every Walter&Astrid scene was gold. PURE GOLD. Astrid has stepped in to fill the Peter-shaped void in Walter's life, acting, now more than ever, like the daughter he's never had. I hope this will now lead to more Astrid backstory.
8) Altlivia musing on Olivia's awesomeness and wondering how she'll measure up. ♥ It's like the show knows what my buttons are.
It occurs to me that if the Olivias of the multiverse were to ever join forces, they would be a force to be reckoned with.
9) I don't know what it says of me that I was less bothered by Altlivia killing that man and more bothered by Altlivia killing that man in Olivia's house, OMG.
10) Peter gets to Be Proactive and Do Stuff, aw. The bonding with Broyles, hints of which we saw in S2, is also awesome. The best part, however, is that he still needs to be rescued by an Olivia. Any Olivia. ♥
All said and done, I REALLY MISS OLIVIA CAN WE GET BACK OVER THERE NOW?
