Merlin:

1. The Dragon needs to die a very quick death. Like, in the next episode. I will clap and cheer and do a victory dance if that happens.

2. It is possible to find Morgana's descent down a dark path compelling, without condoning her every action or blindly justifying them. Shocking, I know. Also, they are her choices. Hers, and no matter what Morgause may have told her or Gaius and Merlin may have done to her, does not change that.

3. The idea of Merlin being Arthur's, or really, anyone's moral compass is laughable at this point.

1. The show's casual sexism, which was always there, has gotten progressively worse over the years. Or perhaps it was always like this, it was just easier to handwave at that time.

2. They should have fired Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spenser at the end of season three instead of keeping them hanging around with nothing to do for a couple of years.

3. Cuddy has always given in to House. Yes, even in the Mythical Season One Where Everything Was Good and Shiny.

I have a feeling it's because they never really paid attention to her, you know? They had an impression of a Strong Woman Who Says No To House (versus Cameron, Pathetic Woman Who Fell In Love With House), and that's all they've stuck to. Which is okay, not paying attention, I do that to characters I'm not fond of, but then you shouldn't be making very loud claims about them.

1. Zedd did not do the Spell of Undoing out of a single-minded desire to break Cara and Dahlia up. No, really. The fact remains that Cara's breaking was practically the end of their quest, and they needed - and wanted, because they love her - her back at any cost. Also, after the nth Zeddicus Cockblockius joke, you begin to wonder if the fandom isn't a little ageist.

2. I don't like Cara/Darken Rahl. He was her master and could make her do anything, and somehow that makes it deeply squickworthy to me. Same with Richard/Cara - Richard may not wish to order her into anything, but he could, if he wanted to and IDK, it doesn't work for me.

3. I mostly stopped noticing Richard/Kahlan in Season 2. I blame Cara, and B and Tab looking at each other like that.

I just can't ship it. I do occasionally read non-con, but NO CARA NON-CON NO.

Meanwhile, I have a disturbing fascination for Kahlan/Rahl. It had something to do with the way Rahl insisted that he had her full consent before he married her in 1.21, IDK. It was all kinds of disturbing and hot. *facepalm*

It's weird. Rahl is hot, but beyond that, he normally bores me. But throw him together with Kahlan and it's UTTERLY BRILLIANT OMG.

Sometimes I'm glad that this fandom doesn't have an anon kink meme, because I'd probably be there posting disturbing Kahlan/Rahl prompts all the time and begging people to write them.

I don't particularly care about her being romantically falling for him, but, you know, being really attracted to him and not being able to fathom why this is happening and hating herself a little bit for it. And taking charge all the time when Rahl says things like 'Yes, Mistress,' because he likes to be dominated and Kahlan likes to be in charge of things. And I should stop talking about my kinks now.
