swatkatI spent a significant part of the day thinking about the parallels between Buffy|Utena and Nanami|Cordelia, which obviously lead my mind to the possibility of Nanami/Cordelia, and then my brain kind of broke. They would be absolutely glorious together, guys. Gloriously mean, that is to say. The trick would be to insult everybody else and not each other.
Faith would also make for a fabulous Black Rose Duelist.

hibernate picked five of my icons, so here they are:
1.
My default icon! To be perfectly honest, I've had it for so long that I've forgotten why I picked it in the first place - possibly some sort of ~clever comment on how I'm sometimes perceived as the Nice One. I think. My 2003 self is often a mystery to me now. I've grown very attached to it, though - I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

KALINDA! ♥ I love her so. While I liked her character straightaway, it wasn't until the last arc that I really fell in love with her. It's funny - in the reveal, she's clearly the one in the wrong, but you can't but help feel for her thanks to the subtle way her motivations have been explained and Archie Panjabi's acting, the obvious way she cares for Alicia.
ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS UNTIL SHE RETURNS TO US :DDDD

For the uninitiated, the icon is from a panel - also the cover - in Greg Rucka's The Hiketeia, a Wonder Woman graphic novel co-starring Batman. It has Wonder Woman with her foot on Batman's face, saying, 'Don't get up.' It's everything I love about Wonder Woman - that she can be fierce and uncompromising when she needs to be, that she's fabulous and that she can break you in half if she wants to. It's also how I love my Batman/Wonder Woman (though not in comics, please not in comics) - Diana is always on top, and Bruce really likes it that way.

Of all the things I miss about Legend of the Seeker, this is perhaps what I miss most: Cara and Kahlan and all their ~looks. This is from 2.9 or 2.10, with Kahlan being gentle and determined and Cara being skeptical but also listening, because it's Kahlan. Just looking at it makes me ship them harder. ALSO LOOK HOW PRETTY THEY ARE TOGETHER. /shallow

Let me see, stoic, sword-fighting female character who wishes to disprove the power of miracles? Who also happens to be pining over a girl who ~broke her heart? It's pretty much a given that I love her and wish to draw sparkly hearts around her, although she would not approve of sparkle. And you know what I really love about her? That in her heart, she does wish for a miracle to happen, and she knows it - that's why she wants to disprove the power of miracles, to surpass herself (just like Nanami); that's why she gets so angry with Utena, because Utena just stumbles into the Duels without ever really wanting anything for herself.
