swatkatI have The Plague. As you know, flist, I tend to have it at least once a year - or sometimes twice, usually coinciding with my trips home (drastic shifts in temperature and humidity, the universe being against me, etcetc). This time however it came upon me a couple of days before, and as a result I had to go through the trauma of Packing and Cleaning My Room (i.e Dumping Clothes in Wardrobe in a Haphazard Fashion) while running a temperature and coughing a lung out.

I was very disappointed that the Laura Roslin lookalike guest star on TGW this week was not, in fact, Mary McDonnell, but that was pretty much the only disappointing thing about this episode. The show was on fire this week, and the best thing was: ALICIA AND KALINDA TALKED, OMG. ALICIA FOUND OUT ABOUT KALINDA HELPING GRACE LAST WEEK AND SHE SWEPT IN TO SAVE THE DAY (TAKE THAT, CARY!) AND THERE WERE SO MANY FEELINGS, I CAN'T EVEN! Kalinda's FACE when she told Alicia that she didn't want a mess, that she hadn't changed and simply wanted to help because she could, oh. The way she almost looked... meek. Alicia and feelings always does that to Kalinda. And of course it came in an episode that had Alicia realising how desperately she needed friends, and identifying with their client when she talked about her 'friends' never visiting her in prison. Kalinda is a good friend, and this is a start. I desperately wanted Kalinda to be there in that bar in the last scene, but I suppose we'll have to wait a little more for that. Kalinda's happy little smile when Alicia said she'd help, the way she drummed her fingers on the notebook? That was pretty much my expression too. It means they're going to be all right. \0/
Speaking of the bar scene though: DIANE! And Alicia! Mentoring and making new friends and drinking together... Whatever this is, I AM EXCITE. It's also not a coincidence that Diane has now been drinking scotch with a person in need of companionship the third episode in a row - I don't know what is going on, but she has something up her sleeve, clearly.
Also a lot of other fun things happened in this episode, like Cary's face after Alicia yelled at her and Wendy Scott Carr being deeply disturbing and Peter using his influence to get his kids into private school (and Alicia suggesting that he use his influence) and Owen being Owen, but I'm still stuck on the conversation in the car. THEY'RE GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT! *\0/*
