I'm surrounded by idiots. Sefish idiots, irresponsible idiots, ungrateful idiots, inconsiderate idiots - you name them, we have 'em.

They're having a wonderful Remus discussion, and I want to join in, but for some reason I can't think anything beyond "@#!$~!#!".

It also rained today (which is a good thing), and I got drenched - despite the umbrella. What's the point in having an unbrella if I'm going to get wet anyway? And the woman sitting in front of me in the bus stared at me for no particular reason. All. the. time.

But chocolate is good. And I discovered a lovely new poem that made my day. I'm still feeling slightly weepy whiny, but the chocolate is really good. Mmmmm. Cadbury.

And now, on with the Potter recs:

First with the H/Hr.

Okay [livejournal.com profile] msgenevieve, I have some more H/Hr for you. These are all good stories, but not the type that make me want to stand up and cheer. The smut is standard. The writing is good. The stories should please the shippers immensely. Not really my type of story though.

Surrender by [livejournal.com profile] aome

Rating: NC-17
Pairing/s: Harry/Hermione
Summary: Hermione is too much of a control freak to really let go ... except with Harry. (Post-Hogwarts)

Eight Years, Three Months, One Week, and Two Days by [livejournal.com profile] calliope14

Pairing: Harry/Hermione
Rating: hard R
Summary: Hermione and Harry have a difficult patch in their marriage.
Genre: Drama, Angst

A Little Brave by [livejournal.com profile] tarie

Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Hermione
Summary: Near the end of his seventh year at Hogwarts, Harry left the wizarding world without a trace. Years later, he and Hermione are unexpectedly reunited... will they be able to rekindle what they once had?
Word Count: 7,224
Genre: Romance/Drama/Angst/SWS

(Now that I read what I said above, I sound a bit negetive. It's not bad. Really. They're all decent stories, and I would probably have enjoyed them more if I was a H/Hr shipper - they're just not strong enough to move a non-shipper like me. If you've read the previous story, you'll know the difference. The third one is probably my favourite among these.)

And now, for some stories that do make me want to stand up and cheer. *g*

Untitled drabble by [livejournal.com profile] pogrebin

Rating: Gen

Guh! I mean, this is just so horrible! Go read it, now.

Three days after the Muggle Protection Act of 2004 is passed, the Wand-Snapping Decree goes into effect and so Severus Snape stands in line with the other British wizards and witches who were in his year, the Hogwarts class of 1971, ladies & gentlemen, Death Eaters and Order operatives and Aurors all coughing and shuffling and glaring next to one another, at the mercy of the alphabet. Straight off the Hogwarts rolls.

Dandelions in Bullet Holes by [livejournal.com profile] judyhazeleyes

This is about Luna, and growing up. This Luna doesn't dream
about Crumple Horned-Snorcacks and talk in her vague, not-of-this-world way, because reality is harsh, and everyone has to grow up one day. I don't want Luna to grow up. But if she does (or should I say when?), I suspect she'd become something like this. And I'd still love her. *sigh*

Was it foolish of her to want everything to end peacefully, with no loss, no heartache? Perhaps. But to expect it, blithely, with all the wide-eyed innocence of a child -

(Of course, she was allowed to remain a child much longer than most in their makeshift army. Longer than one should, if she is honest with herself; what has it gotten her in the end, after all? Confused tears welling in her eyes, like pools of mercury against her silvery irises, as she stares at her best friend and tries to understand.)

- foolish, and dangerous.

Remedial Potions by [livejournal.com profile] lupercali
Summary:It was an accepted fact, something everybody knew, and knew would never change.

Okay, so this is slash. Rather, Snape/Lupin pre-slash. But it's just gorgeous. Please read?

BTW, these recs are also for anyone else who is interested in reading. Try them. They're good. *g*

Ooooh!

More recs! Thank you so much! I'll toddle off and read them all (and I mean all!) of them now.

Now, where are these idiots of which you speak? I grow weary of our own Idiots. *g*

They are RL idiots. RL idiots are most definitely the worst type of idiots around. *sigh*

Tell me what you think of them. *g* And did you read the other one?

I enjoyed all the stories. Thank you. To be honest, though, I like my H/Hr to be of the dark, angsty and non-fluffy kind, so I enjoyed one of those stories more than the other two. Don't suppose you've got any more angsty, dark H/Hr stash up your sleeve, do you? Heh.

The other stories were v. good. *g*

I'll try, but it's kinda difficult to find good angsty fic in this fandom when you've chosen one of the fluffiest ships ever. *sigh*
