It's cold here. So very cold, and it's just November. (YES, I KNOW THAT SOME OF YOU LIVE IN PLACES WHERE THIS WOULD BE NOTHING, BUT DON'T RUB IT IN. REALLY). My roomie, in her infinte wisdom (she who doesn't know where the best drinking spots are, or which place serves the best tea, even after one and a half years), keeps telling me that I should enjoy the feeling and it's not cold yet and after I get a taste of the Delhi Summer, I will be praying for winter to return. Which, may or may not be true, but right now? It's cold. Back home, winter is a pleasant, pleasant season. I know how to deal with heat; I've seen enough of it. You sweat and moan and try to peel off your skin; you pray for the Nor'westers, and when they do come it's relief for a couple of days, and then back to the same old routine. At daytime the sun is blinding and you feel like never going out ever again; evenings are breezy, and you sit outside and hang out with your friends. Go for a walk, maybe. And it isn't that I haven't been to cold places, but then it was 'Holiday! Cold places! Whee!'. I didn't have to LIVE there. I didn't have to get up every morning and shower (I really hate people who don't. the campus is full of stinky boys now. it's disgusting). I'll be home in a week, and it will be good for a month, but I'll be back here in January and it will be oh-so-cold. Maybe I'll hibernate in my room for a couple of months until it goes away.

I would appreciate if they stopped torturing Cuddy now.

Oh, honey. *hugs you* Stinky boys are not a good thing.

Oh dear, another week? Do you think you should start crossing the days off on the calendar with little snowflakes or something? ;)

But when they're torturing Cuddy, at least she's onscreen, kicking ass and taking names acting-wise.

We're just on our way out of a cold snap, and it makes me happy. Good luck lasting until your vacation! Layers are the key! (I'm counting down the days, too: three weeks and two days!)

*whimpers* Why do they do this to us? It's like, every time she gets a sizeable chunk of screentime, "Hey, let's make Cuddy feel like crap again. Because, you see, we hadn't already established that she feels guilty about just about damn near everything, so, we have to like, you know-- remind you you stupid, st00pid viewer."

[What? No, of course I'm not bitter where'd you get that idea?]

And House. OMG. No words. No words for my anger. I'll tell you what you can do with your Vicodin, you ho-bag.

And as for reality, I feel your pain. It's "cold, but all you East-Coasters shush"-cold. And I really, really sympathize about the boysnotshowering. Cause eww. Just... eww. Other than the frostbite, how're you enjoying University??

I'm cold right now, too, and I hate it!!! California is supposed to be *mild*, dammit!

And I'm torn about Cuddy -- on the one hand, OMGsohorrible! But on the other hand, there's drama! She gets to emote! It was sooooo nice to see.

It's cold all over -- you have my sympathy.

So far our pipes have not frozen.

I know how to deal with heat; I've seen enough of it.

There's a way to deal with heat? I mean, with cold you just put more layers on and hover over the heater and under the covers as necessary, but the closest thing I have to a way of dealing with heat is to make like Cuddy and sit under an ice-cold shower until frostbite sets in. *hates summer so hard*

Ah, but when heat is all you *have*, there's no way you can't deal with it. You have to. After a while, you get used to it. And summer evenings are lovely and breezy; the days are long, and things are beautiful at that time. And sometimes, when the Nor'westers come, it's amazing, how the temperature drops in a minute.

It's possible that I will not be nearly as poetic as this about summer when it really is summer.

Well, I suppose it's worse out there... but. So cold. And windy. And dusty. And cold.

I want to go home. It will be mild at home. Half the winter things I own are not even sufficient for this place, which means I have to buy things all over again - not that I mind. *g*

And I'm torn about Cuddy -- on the one hand, OMGsohorrible! But on the other hand, there's drama! She gets to emote! It was sooooo nice to see.

I'm torn too, really. I heart the drama, but I don't want Cuddy to be sad! She wins at life and gets whatever she wants! *weeps*

TELL THEM TO STOP IT NOW. It's so difficult - I love all the drama, but then... they're torturing her and that's not right!

I'm loving it here - except maybe the grind, which I'm sure I could do without. I love the place, and love the things I have been doing here - someday I should write a long post about it. I miss home, and will be glad to leave on Tuesday, but I'll also miss things here while I'm there.

I know, I know. And I like the drama. But. CUDDY. Isn't she unhappy enough already? *weeps*

I would've been dead without the layers. When you're going out at one in the morning for a cup of tea at place that's at least a mile away (don't ask)? It's the only way.

Indeed they are not. You're in a queue and there's someone behind you who hasn't showered for god knows how long, and it's disgusting. All my friends are required to bathe before they come anywhere near me, but I can't force everyone to do the same, can I? :(

Heh, no. Seriously, no.

But that I made you talk in all caps? Yes, that's definitely funny. ;)

It's impossible for me to be poetic about summer. Heat makes me crazy in a very literal way: I really don't think I could be responsible for things I might do during a heat wave. If you stuck me in the middle of a crowded square with a gun, telling me the people wouldn't let me past into an air-conditioned building, I might actually start sobbing and shooting people.

So no, I was not made to live in hot places. The one thing I hate about winter is the way some buildings and trains are heated so much more than outside. I leave my windows open all winter, because while being too cold can be unpleasant, being too hot makes me lose all control over myself in a very bad way.
