Hee. It's Terry Pratchett's latest Discworld book about the City Watch. It actually came out a year ago, but I only got my hands on it yesterday.

Have I ever recommended Pratchett to you? I think you will love him.

Yes, certainly. I can't recommend him enough. And he's one of those authors who gets better with every book - so while the early books may or may not be entirely to your taste. I personally think Pterry really gets into the groove with Pyramids (Book 7), although jaybee65 loved Equal Rites (Book 3), which I haven't read. Whatever you do, don't begin with Book One - Guards!Guards! (Book 8), or Equal Rites, or Mort (Book Four) are better options. Or you could begin with one of the standalones, like Small Gods.

Have I thoroughly confused you yet? Just read him. Pick up whichever suits you. I think you'll like it.
