purimgifts: multifandom ficlet-a-thon for Purim, which you should join. Rules are here - ficlets focused around characters who are Jewish, and/or characters who are women, and/or characters who are persecuted by evil viziers. I fully expect to get Aladdin fic from this ficathon.

halfamoon: "a fourteen day multifandom challenge celebrating female characters, which will run from February 1 through Valentine's Day."

speckleberry is hosting a House/Cuddy drabble-a-thon. There's already some excellent stuff:
pwcorgigirl wrote touch wood and
ellixian wrote first light. Go play!
+ It's Republic Day (aka. the day our country officially became a 'republic' as opposed to a British 'dominion'), and everyone is watching the parade on TV. Everyone except me, that is. When I was a kid, I would wake up early and sit obsessively in front of the television to watch the same parade. It's just... I no longer can watch these things without thinking about the utter tragedy of being continually at war, about the pointlessness of this display of state power. But I got a little teary when they announced posthumous awards for the soldiers.
