Today, while re-watching the end of House 1.6, The Socratic Method, where the patient hugs her son and tells him he needs a haircut, the Sister observed that the real reason why Chase doesn't get a haircut is because he misses his mommy. Because when the boy was being hugged by his mother - the boy who Chase identified with - Chase looked really sad and just quietly left the room.

Earlier, while re-watching Damned If You Do, she informed me that she is a strong supporter of House and Cuddy together and that she thinks Cuddy kinda loves House.

And before that, she told me there should be a House/HIMYM x-over where Lily gets to scold House and discipline him by taking away his ball.

Maybe I should get her a LJ.

I got Sister onto LJ and now she’s a pro. We have discussions about fandom_wank, slash, ship wars and everything! ;)

You *should* get her an LJ. That way she can tell us these things herself!

I've tried, and she has shown interest. But the idea of 'fannish participation' still makes her shy!

Silly thing. It's not like any of us in fandom are crazy...errr....never mind. ;-)

She doesn't mind the crazy! Well, mostly, it's not like I've shown her the, er, crazier stuff like the msscribe affair or the Cassie Clare controversy of doom. Or the Harmonians, for that matter. She just thinks she'll have nothing to say. Hmm. *ponders further enticement*

Maybe more of the crazy *would* be an enticement. I know it entertains me! *g*

Your sister is awesome - Barney style: squared! (Say what?)

You should write her the House/HIMYM crossover to show her how awesome fandom is and encourage her to seek out more awesome. Y/Y?

And she just told me I couldn't possibly write Barney. I would consider rising to the challenge, but I don't think I'm in a position to right now!

After [livejournal.com profile] cuddy_fest? You wouldn't even have to include Barney - Marshall and Lily could be at Princeton Plainsboro for something (perhaps with Ted? original RoommateOT3 roadtrip?) in the clinic (because the clinic is awesome) and House could be the attending (and you know he'd be so totally nauseated by them) and it would be legendary. And you should write it. Right after Cuddy Fest. *nods*

But Barney and Robin are AWESOME. *whines* I *can* actually picture House being told off by Lily, and someone, possibly Cuddy watching in sheer awe, but I don't know if I can write in that universe yet! But it's really tempting. But there is no way I'm considering this before cuddy_fest. And after that there is BSG fic* I absolutely need to finish. Maybe afterwards.

On a more serious note, I was wondering how House and Barney would get along, apart from the COMEDY GOLD. I think Barney would unsettle House. Hmm.

* Have I pimped BSG to you yet? As a fan of the Buffyverse and Angel (and apocalypses!) in particular, it should be right up your alley. It's bleakbleakbleak and nowhere near as funny (if BSG has one serious drawback it's this), but the awesome makes up for it. Seriously. The first one and a half seasons make up ome of the best writing I've ever seen, and even when it's bad by it's own standard, it's kinda awesome.

THEY ARE. I don't remember who said this, but they're like the Jack and Karen of Will and Grace - SO MUCH awesomer than the title characters. Er. Well. So much awesomer than Ted. Don't get me wrong, I love Ted. But he isn't my favorite character. And honestly, Robin isn't either, but that's probably because I have only seen like, five episodes from Season Three. Which makes me really sad, because I want to be all caught up for season four! Lame.

But. Back to the original point - I think you should go for it. After the fests* And although I'm sure this sounds like a ploy to coerce you into writing House/HIMYM (which, it is a little) but honestly, I usually find that, when broaching new fandoms, crossing them over with a familiar fandom first is way easier. Also, lots of fun and crack. (And can you imagine Marshall's reaction to House! I lols at the prospect)

Barney probably would unsettle House. A lot. I'm not quite sure how that interaction would go. But it would be awesome. Especially if Barney started hitting on Cuddy. ^^

*You haven't! I have a friend that loves it, but I've never seen an episode. Got a place to download it from? :)

Oh, that's the perfect analogy! You have to watch more S3. S3 is AWESOME. I love Ted too, and no, he isn't my favourite character. It can't be helped - Barney just automatically steals the show with the power of his awesome.

Ploys are fun! I support ploys and use them often. In this case, though... *fingers crossed*

Try mininova.com. Look for DVDrips. Except for S4.0, which still isn't out in DVD. It should be watched in this order -

Miniseries
S1
S2
S3
Razor (a tv movie - make sure you get the DVDrip, because the tv version had some cuts)
S4

I know I needn't warn *you* about spoilers, but yes - no spoiling yourself. No skipping ahead, that's an *absolute* no-no. I say this as the resident Spoiler Queen, so I think you understand the importance of watching absolutely unspoiled. This show does plot, and if you wait, the payoffs are - wait for it - LEGENDARY.

GO WATCH NOW AND CELEBRATE THE AWESOME

And the miniseries itself should tell you if you'll like it or not. I'd be surprised if you don't, actually. But you never know.
