* Cuddy is made of awesome and yes, she does suffer from Superwoman Complex and that's why she's so awesome and I ♥ her.

* House destroyed his own pipes! And his little smile of being right!

* SHIRTLESS HUGH LAURIE

* No, Foreman, you did not just do that! You're supposed to be the sane one! But you're also the unscrupulous one, and I totally believe you'd do that.

* House has really taken Thirteen under his wing, hasn't he? I approve of this development.

* Cameron FTW! I can't *wait* to see where this goes next.

* Taub and Kutner are adorable.

* WILSON AND GIANT DUCKIE. ♥♥♥

* BABY RACHEL. BABY RACHEL CUDDY.

* Inspection guy. ♥ Is it wrong that I want to pair Cuddy with everyone who's attractive and smiles at her kindly? Seriously. Lucas. Swat!guy. Inspection!guy. They all work in my brain. Cuddy/Baby is still my favorite, though.

* HOW CUTE WAS ADVICE!WILSON. I love how supportive he's been of her. It makes my heart melt.

* I'm excited about the Cameron thing, too! Biased-ly, I don't want her to do QUITE as well as Cuddy, because, duh. But. I think she'll be awesome.

* MORE CUDDY BABY PLZ

It sort of makes me sad that whenever you post about why you think Cuddy is awesome, I'm finding myself thinking the exact opposite, and I'm finding more and more reasons to dislike her. And that makes me sad, because I want to like her, and I used to like her, and I don't want to dislike any of them. *sigh*

But, OMG, shirtless Hugh Laurie. Twice. And, not to be TOTALLY SHALLOW (okay, so maybe a little), but if you compare the Distractions shower scene with those scenes on Monday, you can spot some added muscle definition. Keep up that boxing, please, Hugh, please, please. I spent about an hour just watching those scenes. Yes, I did. Yes, I'll admit it.

Taub! Taub has become the reason I can't let myself walk away from this show. Taub is my favorite. Taub is so amazing and has the best zingers ever. How he will shoot House down in a second and just move on makes me squeal with delight. His line about shooting the guys with the torches? Awesome. I love him.

OMG, WILSON WITH A HAIRCUT AND A GIANT DUCKIE. There are few times I think Wilson is hotter than House, but that was ONE OF THOSE TIMES. *grabby hands*

That *is* sad, but then, you're not happy with certain directions the show has been taking with her re. the baby arc, the House/Cuddy arc and, more importantly, with House's character arc. You've also been unhappy with the show's not-so-subtle shift towards ensembleness. These are matters of taste, and really cannot be helped as such! I *heart* that they explicitly spoke about Cuddy's superwoman complex, because that's one of the most attractive things about her character for me, not to mention the fact it also ties into her eternal, at times stupid optimism - another feature that I cannot resist. I enjoy the possibility of a less miserable House and a not-dead House at the end of the show (the latter would be a dampener as far as I'm concerned). So...

While I love the new fellows (and like Thirteen's storyline more and more), it's true that I dislike the more ensemble feel of the show lately. If it continues this way, I will always, always enjoy the earlier seasons more. House is my OTC, and when the focus is taken off him in favor of a more "well-rounded" ensemble show, I'm not happy, that's completely true. I thought more than enough interesting things were done with the other characters when the focus was as it was in S1-3. But House's "character arc", I really don't have major problems with. Nothing wrong with him *wanting* something better for himself, especially on the heels of the S4 finale, but I will be extremely unhappy if the writers change him enough and make him selfish enough (when, really, he has thought a lot about other people, and sparing them pain, in addition to himself) to believe that achieving certain aspects of "happiness" would be the best thing. Happiness will come at high costs for a lot of the main characters and I'd hate to see them go for what they *want* rather than what is *right*. I don't dislike House's character, because it's been relatively logical, and hasn't ruined him, but I think making him "happy" or less miserable would. I've been eyeing the show suspiciously.

I think it's strange that people love this about Cuddy, but hated the similar complex in Cameron. *shrug*

I'm not one of those people. I defended Cameron through the virulent 'Die Cameron' days of the early seasons, and I continue to do so, although now the hate has shifted more towards Cuddy and Thirteen (aka. female characters with screentime). I enjoyed her crush on House (I thought she was adorable), I enjoyed her ethical quandaries and I *love* that she's grown into the character she is now. I may not talk about the Ducklings as much as I talk about House, Wilson or Cuddy, but that doesn't necessarily mean I dislike them. I just talk less about them.

I LOVED this episode! I don't get why so many people hate it. They balanced a lot of subplots quite well. Granted, I would've liked to see more House/POTW interaction, but I am more or less contented on a fannish front.

I also really like the Superwoman Complex part with Wilson because the duck was adorable and because it hit so many right notes ('I passed by their meagre standards but failed by mine' FTFW) AND explained why she was delegating her job to Cameron at the end of the episode. (Again, the 'would you like my job' bit, I could've lived without, but whatevar! More Cuddy/baby!)
