Anonymice and other things

First things first. There's something seriously screwed up with my computer. Or else, why would the computer clock keep on being reset to Jan 1, 2001? The last LJ post I'd made had actually been dated in 2001 (@!%^!~%!#%@#$), so I had to delete it to post this one. I'll repost it sometime later. *sigh*
Anyway, on with fandom.
I was right about
msgenevieve and
jaybee65. Of course, it was easy, seeing that they didn't attempt to disguise their voices. I wouldn't have guessed
delle, though, because she did really adopt a different voice (provided that I had actually read that drabble before, or any of the last few. yes, I've been neglecting LFN a bit. forgive me?). And
mommysusan! Now *that* was a surprise. Write more, you! *g*
*waits for others to own up*
I played too. *g*
Sometimes, he just hates the way he looks.
It's been months since he came here, and they still look at him. Look through him – like he's freaking unreal, like he'll stop pretending and really be himself if they all just stare at him like that.
She looks at him too; in the eyes when they speak (gotta hand her that), and with an odd expression on her face when she thinks he won't notice.
But he does.
He gets a lot of that.
It's annoying. Unnerving. Like he's a damn thief, sitting in someone else's place, wearing someone else's face.

Hey!
Date: 2004-11-05 06:48 pm (UTC)I thought yours was great, by the way, and if it hadn't been for the spelling that gave you away as a non-US person, I would have had trouble narrowing it down.

not really -- I dared her to do it
Date: 2004-11-05 10:11 pm (UTC)I liked your when I read it on the blue board, and I like it here. Very, very nice work.
Oh, good work...

Date: 2004-11-06 02:15 am (UTC)As for my drabble... ::shrug:: I think it must have sucked. That's not a plea for attention, it's stating a fact. When only AZ comments on it, that's telling me something... Either it sucked or *all* my stuff sucks and people are nice about it simply because of who I *am*. I think I'll stick with option A; that the drabble sucked.

Date: 2004-11-06 03:46 am (UTC)But - yeah - I'm lame about commenting on stuff that makes me cringe.
So - quality has nothing to do with it, at least for me. *g*

No
Date: 2004-11-06 09:23 am (UTC)This always happens with the drabbles that get posted a bit later, what with all our short attention spans and the fact that the FFMB has been quite slow in the past few weeks - the slowness makes you lazy and diverts your attention elsewhere. In the bigger drabble comms like
Swatkat
No, it didn't
Date: 2004-11-07 08:44 pm (UTC)Somehow it seemed to have gotten buried in that huge thread, and I overlooked it. :-(
Reading it though, it was quite creepy, and I mean that in a good way.
It most certainly didn't suck
Date: 2004-11-07 10:28 pm (UTC)But in a good way...
I didn't play fair...
Date: 2004-11-06 03:42 am (UTC)Heh

Re: I didn't play fair...
Date: 2004-11-07 08:41 pm (UTC)Yours was a vivid and original voice, and that's always welcome. In fact, in my opinion, yours was probably the most interesting drabble of the entire challenge.
