Oct. 6th, 2009 07:55 pm+ Vagina Fest, Round 2.
+ Last night I had terrible dreams. One of them involved fish. Small white and red striped fish. The fish were DYING and I had to SAVE them and I tried and tried but it was really very difficult. (They may have died in the end, I don't remember.)
+ Today I considered rewatching Merlin 2.03, but did not because it will make me worry about Morgana and I don't want to worry about Morgana and the more I think about it? More I worry about Morgana. Because, see, this show is not exactly very intelligent, and neither are the writers capable of handling the moral ambiguity they have unintentionally set up, and the dragon warning Merlin about Morgana and the use of the word 'witch' as a pejorative (twice), and and the fact that the show will never question Merlin's morals (or Arthur's for that matter), and where does that leave us? Almost every other magical person on this show turns out to be shady - case in point being Nimueh (and this after giving her a fabulous backstory and motive!) - so it's all right for Merlin to kill them, and it's entirely possible that Morgana will now become conveniently 'evil' once she learns what has been withheld from her. God, why am I thinking about this show? This was supposed to be my cracky fun shiny show, and it's making me think. But I've read some shiny meta about Little Red Riding Morgana today, and you should too: Morgana And The Wolf (Merlin And Fairy Tales). Back to writing crack!unicorn!fic now.
+ I will watch House. Soon-ish. This makes me happy.
