Korra stuff, mostly on Tumblr. If the layouts bother you, a good way to bypass that is using the zap colors and zap images bookmarklets. I find them immensely useful. Only a couple of these have gifs, but if that bothers you you can press the ESC button to get them to stop.

Untitled by xekstrin, pre-canon Lin/Tenzin pr0n. Awkward fumbling, aw.
Untitled by avatarsnowy, canon-era Korra/Lin pr0n, featuring inappropriate sex in a public place.
Footprints by sunbreaksdown, Korra/Lin: I've enjoyed most of her work in Homestuck, so it's a great pleasure to see sunbreaksdown write Korra/Lin. This is lovely pre-ship stuff – I do so enjoy her Korra voice:
the avatar doesn't come with a snooze button by sunbreaksdown, Lin/Korra: Because the morning is evil. Adorable PWP is adorable.
Episode Commentary
As much as I enjoy Tumblr as a platform, it simply isn't designed for a… sedate pace of doing things, which makes keeping track of things really difficult. Even more so if you're as haphazard as I am, and have nothing in place but a very basic tagging system. And what's lost is those amazing snippets of discussion or stray observations that deserve an instaclick on the like button. I've been trying to keep track of things with a 'rec' tag, although that needs further expansion—like separate 'rec:discussion' and 'rec:art' tags, maybe, and post the links on LJ/DW every now and then.
Korra vs. Tarrlok, featuring the Spirit World: Ahahaha! I considered putting this in the fan art section, but then this is episode commentary, so this is where it goes.
Asami Sato is amazing: "And yet, in spite of all that, Asami is still unfailingly kind to Korra." <333
Korra vs Metalbenders: The entire commentary here is amazing, highlighting Korra's brute strength and her gentleness. Oh, Korra! <3
Observations on the Bloodbending scene: Yes, THIS. Because Bloodbending effectively takes away your control over your own body, and for someone as physical, as reliant on her body as Korra, it's terrifying.

“So, here for the view?” Korra asks, grin forced, arms thrown up towards the darkness, when the silence persists. Maybe Avatar is all Lin's going to say to her, determined to remind her of what she is, rather than who. “Looking to apply for the role of Avatar's metalbending bodyguard?”
Lin actually laughs at that. Korra starts, as if someone's dropped a handful of gravel down the back of her shirt.

And is there one Korra tumblr that consolidates all this stuff, and might have an rss feed for us to follow on dw?

Date: 2012-06-06 03:08 pm (UTC)There is, alas, no consolidation in Tumblr, not at all - not even a proper fic posting blog that I see so far. Most of the navigation happens through tags, and it's basically an exercise in patience as you weed through crap. The 'Legend of Korra' tag, for instance, is very active, but you have to weed through maybe a few hundred Tahno/Korra posts and people screaming 'AAAAAAAAAH' and terrible RPs to find the good stuff. I don't think Tumblr even supports RSS readers. I've taken to following writers whose writing I've enjoyed so far. It also helps having flisters who reblog Korra stuff - that's how I've been finding things. But it's basically very different from LJ/DW, and takes some getting used to.
