Is this real life

My rec:art tag runneth over, flist - there are too many bookmarks for me to parse through and individually link to. Go and take a look, it's all awesome. I do not entirely love this shift of activity from LJ-sphere to Tumblr, but I am grateful to Tumblr for exposing me to so much good fan art. Some of it also comes, I suppose, from being in fandoms where art is important - be it comics or animation fandoms - and I'm glad that it is so, although ideally all fandoms should be like Homestuck where you'll never run short of good fic or art.
Meanwhile, on Warehouse 13:
GUYS, THERE IS NO HETEROSEXUAL EXPLANATION FOR MYKA'S FLASHBACK BEING ABOUT BEING SWEPT OFF HER FEET (LITERALLY. WITH THE AID OF A GRAPPLER GUN) BY HG WELLS, OR HER STATEMENT TO CLAUDIA,
She loves HG. It would be selfish of her to want HG back for herself, without thinking of the consequences.
Short of actual making out on screen (which still needs to happen), it couldn't get anymore explicit than that.
I'm excited about this Artie-Claudia plotline, and scared about what's going to come. Pete had me all choked up for that one moment. Myka's combination of geekiness and fistfighting is adorable. The mountain-y set is hilariously low budget. Etcetc. But mostly - HG IS BACK AND MYKA ~LOVES HER. All right, so HG didn't get her big heroic moment of redemption and Myka doesn't know that HG was prepared to die for them all, but we do, and I'd rather have a living!HG figuring things out and having the Warehouse love her again than heroically dead-and-gone!HG.
Also, I cannot be the only who thought that in order to counter the hate, Myka and HG had to make out to save the world with their love, right? Somebody write me that story.

Everyday people die. Sometimes its people we care about, and sometimes its even people that we love. We just need to make sure we're not being selfish.

I was absolutely thrilled by this episode and the way it handled the reset and Claudia's anger. Normally I hate resets, but the writers know their genre fic so well that they're making "reset" an actual plotline with consequences rather than just a deus ex machina. It's great! So excited!

I knooooow! I personally would have found it a far better resolution than the one we got. :D
I'm also impressed by how they went about resetting things. There are going to be consequences, and the writers are *not* afraid of Going There. I do get the feeling that Steve is going to come back now, and there will be hell to pay.
