In which DC Comics does something right, and brings back Stephanie Brown for Snyder's Batman Eternal weekly.

*cue joyous dance*

I... stayed away from comics in general (but I did read Hawkeye #11) after Morrison did that thing that we're not talking about, but I can feel myself slowly wanting to pick up Wonder Woman again and catch up on Li'l Gotham, Batwoman (ANDREYKO!) and possibly Batman too, despite the disappointment that was Court of Owls.

Marvel has also now announced a Black Widow book with the awesome Phil Noto on art duty, so it will now be added to my Marvel Titles One May Begin With list alongside Captain Marvel and Hawkeye.

I'm not willing to give DC any credit until Steph actually shows up in the book as published. I haven't forgiven them for... well, most things, but especially the Smallville bait and switch. I do hope they bring Cass back soon, though.

The Smallville bait and switch was awful, which is why I could not pick it up even after Diana showed up and was generally awesome in it. The announcement came from TPTB this time, though, which is why I'm generally more hopeful. But you're perhaps right, I should contain myself until we actually have Steph back.

What I really want is my Bat-comics back, and that's never happening. :/

ANDREYKO! I... actually did not find JH III's writing particularly engaging at all, so I'm kind of glad he's writing it instead.

And Steph. Trying not to get too excited but failing.

Put me down as another Steph fan who's a little excited but mostly scared.

My excitement for new Black Widow monthly is unqualified (Phil Noto, yesss). I hold this announcement responsible for my impulse buy of The Name of the Rose in HC today.

I'm trying to be cautiously excited but honestly, I'm just really excited!!!

I adore Phil Noto's art. I adore it. I have no opinions on Marvel Natasha, never having read her in canon in the first place, but this might be a good place to jump in.
