I really wish they don't go the Amy/Jake route although I know they will - it's just that I think Amy deserves better than Jake (whom I like well enough). They handled Rosa/Boyle pretty well so far, so we'll see.

I was two weeks behind on TGW and catching up was sheer joy. I have missed everyone! I don't have much to say about them except Zach grew up really pretty (I will not perv), Diane is still the best and I'm disappointed about the lack of Kalinda. It should not be this hard for a show of this calibre to come up with a decent plotline for the only character of colour in their main cast (remember the Emmy, guys?) in their stellar fifth season - a plotline that DOESN'T make her an accessory in everyone else's story. Kalinda's not an extra and I would appreciate if they stopped treating her as one.

I'm feeling really hopeful that they won't do the predictable thing, because of what they did with Boyle in regards to Rosa, and because of this quote from Andy Samberg about Amy Poehler: She’s the best, and I try to do everything she does as best I can. There’s no one who handles things better, in my opinion, than Amy. Across the board. She’s my hero.

Just keep asking yourselves, guys, what would Amy Poehler do? Something so much funnier than that!

I hope you're right re: Boyle and Rosa; I'm just deeply cynical about tv right now and don't trust male showrunners at this point.

I wish they would ask themselves What Would Amy Do. I'm not convinced they will. Peralta/Santiago is still more palatable than Boyle/Diaz, because Peralta does not blame Santiago for his feelings or for the fact that she does not probably know of/return his feelings. Boyle did all of the above, and even the marriage fiasco points to the same problem. I realise they think pairing Boyle up with an alpha like Rosa is hilarious, but it really, really is not. They need to stop.
