It's very difficult to rec Sirius/Remus, because it's become such a *huge* pairing in the past two years, and there's so much good fic by so many authors... I've tried to rec something different with each story, to give you a taste of how this pairing is handled by different authors.

The Levity Series by

These stories maybe read as a series or a stand-alone, but I couldn't resist reccing them all, because they're just that good. If I had to pick just one from this series, though (in case you aren't feeling like reading a series), I'd pick And Still - it's about the last days of the War, and nails the OMGDoomed aspect of their relationship. *sigh*

(and while we're reccing things, plsread Wane (oh, Remus!) and Remedial Potions (aka. the story that made me see the potential for Snape/Remus) by the same author, 'kay? and then everything else by her)

And for something a bit different: anastasia & spinning jenny by

librae. Sirius and Remus in Grimmauld Place. The summary says:Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place is eating Sirius alive, and that about sums this story up. Creepy. Reminds me exactly why I'm so fascinated by the Blacks.

That the Science of Cartography is Limited by

dorkorific Oh. Ow. *sob* Remus grieves after Sirius' death is a popular scenario in the fandom, but very few stories handle the scenario this well.

spessartine writes a darker, *crueller* Sirius than your average fanon Sirius, and yet it's all perfectly IC.

Redeeming Time by

miraminx. Okay - this story isn't exactly R/S. Yes, there *is* R/S, but this is James Potter's story, James and his best friends, and how one incident forced them to grow up. It will make you like James, if you don't already, and I couldn't resist reccing such a good Marauder fic. Also, good James/Lily, and *that's* hard to find.

Runaways by

imochan. This is not S/R at all, it's Remus/James. But again - *so* good. Read it just for the Sirius characterisation, if nothing else. And Remus/James is my sekrit Marauder pairing kink. I couldn't resist. *g*

That's quite a lot for the first time, don't you think? And I haven't recced anything by some of my favourite authors in this pairing. *sigh* For more, see the Sirius/Remus ship manifesto. *g*
