GIP and a sad story

Now, I'd like to take this opportunity to share with you all a very sad story.
*ahem*
Once upon a time, not too long ago (when I was young and innocent), I had a cat. Yes, I have kept many cats. But she was a special cat. She was a gorgeous white kitty with a beautiful, beautiful orange tail (she had the best tail I've ever seen). She was not the smartest of cats, because she had very little practical sense. But she was also a darling - she would sit on top of the television and look down as if she were watching; she would wake me up in the middle of the night with a slap on my face because she wanted to sleep on my pillow; she would grab my pen while I was writing and insist upon sitting on the very book I was reading... And one day, she was gone! We looked everywhere, did everything we could - but she was never found. Maybe she lost her way somewhere (remember, she wasn't a very practical kitty), maybe someone took her away. I have never been able to get over losing her. *sigh*
Sad story, isn't it?
There is a point to this story.
scribbulus_ink asked a question on her journal about a story that you'd like to see written. My favourite story that no one has dared to write so far is a LFN/HP cross-over with Snape/Nikita (or Snape/Michael, if you prefer slash), involving love potions, the giant squid, Moaning Myrtle, and a number of fiascos. I have a feeling that if some kind soul writes this story for me, I may finally be able to get over losing my cat.
That will be all.
Harry Potter:
Hmmm. The one that immediately comes to my mind is a long, dark, angsty story featuring Snape and/or Hermione doing a Dr. Faustus (Faust). Snape/Hermione is optional. AU, because I doubt this can actually be fitted in canon.
LFN:
Post S5. Michael and Nikita in Section - dark, angsty and looong. No fluff, *absolutely* no happily ever after. Everyone trying to keep secrets from each other, everyone playing games and betraying each other - for proper reasons, of course. Bitter/bittersweet ending. Presence of Paul and Madeline is optional.
I can think of a few more, but I'll just post this one for now. *g*
So, what are your favourite unwritten stories?

Date: 2004-03-30 08:22 pm (UTC)Book Snape? Interesting, but not sexy - to me, anyway. I would rather not think about him in the context of any amorous activity....cause - you know - it's all about teh pretty. ;)
As for a LFN story I'd like to see written? I've never really thought about it like that...but I think what I would really like to read is a canon LFN with a villian I could believe in...a la David Fanning. I could believe in him because he seemed like exactly the kind of guy who made a good living killing people and let it go to his head.
It would also be nice for Section to ultimately bring them down - because I hate the whole 'gee s/he took out Warf so now we know they're reeeelly bad' plot trick. In ST:NG it ended up making Warf look utterly incompetent and not at all scary. It also defeated the notion that the bad guy must be bad cause he took out Warf. How hard was that? Every bad guy did....
So - A gen story with a believable challenging villian that Section beats because they are actually very good at what they do; justifying their costs - to whomever is paying the bills and to their own people.
Unfortunately, even the actual writers had trouble coming up with believible villans.
For that I would even embrace M/N angst and - if it made sense plot wise - betrayal. *g*
But secrets and betrayal just 'because Section is like that' irritates me the same way secrets do on Soap Operas. If the only way to keep the plot moving is for someone to decide to keep secret what has no earthly reason to be secret in the first place and will only make everything worse with the inevitable confusion and delay in getting the truth out - the plot stinks.

Date: 2004-03-31 05:38 pm (UTC)It would be more along the lines of Snape being enchanted by Nikita's charms and therefore trying to strengthen his case by feeding her some love potions. Mmmm... I'd love some snarky Snape vs. Michael.

Oh most definitely! *adds one more to her list*

Well, the story I want to see written will have a very much evolved Michael and Nikita. The angst should be because of their personal problems - and not because "it's Section, it has to be like that". *g* Of course, the evolution has to be believable, and I should be able to recognise them as my Michael and Nikita.
