Fandom affects me in strange ways.

It has come to my notice that there are some people on my flist who could really do with reading some HP fics (no, not you mscyanide - although if you're really interested, the last fic maybe your type). So, for their persual, I have listed a few fics that I've recently read. Gen, because I'm not sure about the pairing preferences.

Summary: The Burrow is empty, even when it's full.

Harry POV, more or less gen, rated R for possibly disturbing content. And, obviously, character death.
Summary: Because if there was a right way and a wrong way to react, Neville would choose the wrong one. Because if there was a right way to step, Neville would step the other way.

Summary: Neville gets distracted by a folded paper crane and a particular wish.

Possibly disturbing content.

Summary: Tom Riddle. Creepy. Her writing is just gorgeous.

Tom is sixteen when he realizes that, after four years of the charms and spells, accio and leviosa, he is no closer to answering the call of magic that drummed in his nighttime veins and broke the rhythm of his heart.

The typing isn't affected - it only hurts when I fold the arm. Writing may have been a problem, but thankfully, I'm left-handed. *g*

I am not interested in Spike!Handsome!Draco, Punk!Hermione, Insane!Ron or Gay!Femme!Harry. I *am* interested in twisty storylines, the Trio being ruthlessly in character, Draco being a sniveling weasel (as JK Rowling wrote him), Evil!Smirking!Snape, Snarky!Minerva and Wise!Dumbledore.

What can I say? I loves me canon, no matter what fandom it is.

Don't worry about characterisations. I'm not too fond of Fanon!Draco either. *g* But the question is, would you read if I recced, say, Snape/Hermione? HP is very pairing oriented. Would you read slash?
