I'm kinda glad that Lisa Edelstein did not get that role in Desperate Housewives. Because I heart both Lisa and Felicity, and I simply cannot imagine anyone else playing their roles in the shows. Can you imagine any other actress playing Cuddy the way Lisa does? The reason Cuddy is so awesome is because Lisa is awesome (and she's written awesomely, that too, but someone needs to portray that awesomeness on-screen). Housewives, of course, would've given her a bigger role, but Felicity kicks ass as Lynette - even when her storyline goes nowhere, like it did in S2.

I saw Three Stories. I knew it was good, but dude. Did not expect it to be *this* good. There will be coherence later.

Lisa Edelstein was up for the role of Lynette? I didn't know that! She would have given the character a very different vibe.

She was! She would have, definitely. And I know she would've done a great job, but I can't really imagine her as Lynette. Felicity rocks in that part. And no one else could've played Cuddy the way Lisa does.

The only thing bad about Three Stories is that it makes the other episodes seem just a little tiny bit less. Because, you see, God masquerades as David Shore, and Three Stories is like the holy scripture of House. ^^

I'm so glad she didn't get that part. Although she would have rocked it - because she rocks everything, not because I don't love Felicity Huffman, because I do, and have every since Sports Night - which, hello, six degrees? (Wow, run on sentence. Sorry, it's three am and I'm hyper. Also - Felicity/Lisa Sports Night RPF!) Anyway, I think I agree - I think I possibly wouldn't love Cuddy so very much if she were played by someone else. I guess we can't really know that, but Lisa puts so much of herself in Cuddy, and I can't really separate my love for the two of them.

On the other hand, how awesome would it be to see her parading down the red carpet with the other housewives? Because she so deserves all the fame and fortune in the world.

...I would read that. I have never seen Sports Night. I don't do RPF, either. But I would SO read that.

The sad thing is, even though she consistently steals every scene she's in, she just doesn't get meaty enough parts to score a nomination (and hey, if Hugh can't get an emmy nod, what chance does anyone else on the show have?) So even though plenty of critics seem to love her, she probably won't get much more recognition than she's already getting. Which is sad.

She was great in Sports Night, btw - just two episodes, but she killed as Bobbi Bernstein, the slightly crazy sportscaster. Say what you will about Aaron Sorkin, and I certainly have a few problems with him/his style, but he'll always have a place in my heart because he gave us Lisa, Felicity, and Allison Janney.

I'm still disappointed by the fact that Hugh didn't get a nomination - none of the other actors get enough screentime for them to be even considered.

She was great in Sports Night, btw - just two episodes, but she killed as Bobbi Bernstein, the slightly crazy sportscaster.

I would expect nothing less from her. And why do a lot of Lisa's characters bear the 'slightly crazy' tag? LOL

She has the best comic timing ever. All the actors in House do. Whoever did the casting for the show needs to be given an award for having selected the prettiest and funniest cast ever.

Srsly. She's smart. She can act. She's pretty. She looks awesome and cool even when she's wearing something weird and has just been fugged. I love her.
