Internet is dead. Computer is dying. Not a problem, since this is the Month of Freedom. All I can say is it better get fixed before the end of this month.
Also, all the tickets for PoA are booked for about a week or so. Within a day. This sucks.

msgenevieve and
delle, I finished Outlander. It *is* a good book, and it would be unfair to call it a romance novel. I particularly enjoyed Gabaldon's style. She writes with a sense of humour, which is also a good thing. The characters are very well portrayed and likeable - I enjoyed the Claire-Jamie interactions very much. I don't quite get the "OMG teh Jamie!" reactions, though. *g*
I'm not sure if I want to read the sequels, but this was a good book. Thanks for the rec.

Date: 2004-06-07 06:45 am (UTC)No worries there. In fact, I would've read it again if Sister hadn't snatched it away the moment I left it lying uguarded. So I'm just reading Good Omens instead. (it's a hoot. have you read it?)
Well, Claire doesn't become a Mary Sue, if that's what you're worried about. The rest of the books are just as enjoyable, although like delle I have my favourites amongst them. I absolutely adore the first two, love the third and fourth, and like the fifth. *g*
I don't her to become a Mary Sue, but neither do I want her to become boring. But I'll take yours and
