I was going to do mctabby's favourite character/least favourite character meme, but then I realised that I find both Remus/Umbridge and Hermione/Umbridge incredibly fascinating in a creepy, scary, disgusting sort of way. And *then* I realised that I don't actually hate Umbridge - she makes my skin crawl (the detention scenes? oooh! *shivers*) and fascinates me in the same creepy, scary, disgusting sort of way. See what I meant about scaring myself lately? *facepalm*

Anyone have any Umbridge recs? Umbridge POV, in particular? I don't care much for PWPs, but anything will be good.

There's an excellent (and very convincingly creepy in a fascinating, dark kind of way) fic on umbridged, which I always wanted to read again. Unfortunately, I don't remember its title nor when it was posted. *is not very helpful* I don't follow the community and don't know how busy it is, but if it's not a highly frequented one, chances are that I'll find it quickly enough.

Drat. donnaimmaculata beat me to the rec. I had seen that one before and adored it. In fact, it appears I was the first person to comment on it! Hahahaha.

I haven't come across any others that I remember, unfortunately, because OMG, the idea of creepy!Umbridge fic is just impossible to resist. If I felt at all comfortable with HP canon (which I don't), I would be churning out a whole bunch of these stories. Alas, I have to rely on others.

Oh, thanks for the recs! The first one was gorgeous - I never thought I would read a *believable* sympathetic!Umbridge fic, but you proved me wrong. And the twist in the end of the second one was absolutely brilliant.
